What does a shared tour mean?

A shared tour means that you will experience the tour together with a group of travelers of different nationalities and ages, including guests from Guru Explorers and other partner operators.

Shared tours are operated by Guru Explorers or our strategic partners, all of whom meet the same quality and service standards.

Pick-up times and schedules

• One day before the shared tour, you will be assigned a pick-up time range and an approximate return time.

• Punctuality is essential to avoid delays for other passengers.

• The tour duration may vary depending on:

  • The group’s pace

  • City traffic

📌 The return time is approximate, and traffic conditions or the group’s pace are not the responsibility of Guru Explorers.

Transportation

• Seating on the vehicle is assigned randomly, based on the order of pick-up.

• Not allowed:

  • Pets

  • Smoking

  • Large luggage or oversized bags

Entrance tickets

• Entrance tickets can be added as an optional extra during the booking process, or

• Purchased independently in cash at each attraction.

General recommendations

• Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

• As this is an outdoor activity:

  • Natural scenery may vary depending on weather conditions and daylight.

  • Each visit is a unique and authentic experience.

• Not recommended for:

  • Wheelchair users

Terms and Conditions – IGV (VAT)

According to Peruvian regulations, foreign tourists may be exempt from the local VAT (IGV – 18%).

As a formal and registered travel agency, we are required to submit to local authorities:

• A copy of the document used to enter Peru

• Your date of entry into the country

A few days before your arrival, we will contact you to request:

• A photo of your passport or entry document

• Your date of entry into Peru

⚠️ If this information is not provided, we will be required to add the 18% IGV tax to the total amount.

Tour Cancellation Policy

Cancellations

• More than 30 days in advance: 20% penalty

• Between 7 and 30 days: 40% penalty

• Less than 7 days: 100% penalty

Date changes

• More than 30 days: 5% penalty

• Between 7 and 30 days: 10% penalty

• Less than 7 days: 100% penalty

• Subject to availability

🚫 No refunds will be issued in cases of:

• Flight delays

• Train delays

• Bad weather

• Other external or unforeseen factors

Force Majeure Policy

Guru Explorers values your time and always strives to follow the planned itinerary. However, the itinerary may be affected by force majeure events, such as:

• Severe weather or heavy rain

• Natural disasters

• Protests or road blockages

In such cases:

• No refunds or compensation will be issued

• We will do our best to offer alternative solutions

Any additional costs resulting from changes or alternative activities will be the responsibility of the client.
