Terms and Conditions of Salas Travel 2025
When selecting a program, it is essential to thoroughly examine the terms and conditions, as these rules will govern your reservation. Completing a payment for any program or trip through Salas Travel Peru signifies your agreement to and responsibility to adhere to these terms, which are applicable to all tours.
1. General Information
Changes to the itinerary of programs may be necessary due to factors such as weather, river conditions, or the preferences of the group. Salas Travel Peru bears no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property, nor for any repercussions thereof. We are not liable for any illnesses or accidents that may occur during the tour, and clients will be responsible for covering these expenses. Clients are also accountable for any borrowed equipment and must reimburse for any damage or loss before returning to Cusco. Clients should ensure they are physically and mentally prepared, with Salas Travel Peru not liable for any inaccuracies in these assessments.
2. Reservation Steps
Please consult with us for advice prior to making any payments. To reserve your preferred program, a non-refundable deposit of 50% per participant is required. Your payment constitutes a binding agreement with “Salas Travel Peru,” and your booking will be confirmed following our written confirmation.
For the initial deposit, payment methods include WESTERN UNION, PAYPAL, or other online alternatives. Clients are responsible for any banking fees or transfer costs.
3. Payment of Final Balance
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. The remaining balance must be paid at our office at least one day before your tour in Peruvian soles, U.S. dollars, or via Visa (with an 8% fee applicable). The price per person agreed upon at booking is fixed.
4. Cancellation Policies
At Salas Travel Peru, we know plans can change, so we aim to present our cancellation policies clearly and transparently.
- Send a written cancellation request to your sales advisor via email.
- Only the person who made the reservation and paid the initial deposit may submit the request.
Non-Refundable Bookings
Confirmed bookings with Salas Travel Peru are non-refundable if canceled for personal reasons—including disputes or circumstances arising from personal relationships. Please double-check your plans before finalizing your reservation.
Cancellation Fees
We want you to plan your trip with peace of mind. Below you’ll find the fees that apply should you need to cancel:

5. Alterations/Cancellations by Us
Should unexpected events such as technical problems, adverse weather conditions, strikes, governmental actions, or civil disturbances occur, Salas Travel Peru will attempt to arrange alternative plans or equivalent trips without providing refunds. Adjustments to the itinerary may be necessary, but our aim is to maintain the agreed-upon services.
Significant changes will be communicated prior to your trip, with comparable alternative arrangements offered. Any extra costs resulting from these changes are the responsibility of the client. We cannot offer compensation for expenses such as international flights, visas, vaccinations, etc.
If Salas Travel Peru cancels a tour, a full refund will be issued.
6. Acknowledging Potential Risks
Our tours aim to provide authentic experiences, which inherently involve risks such as injury, emotional distress, or even death. By participating, individuals acknowledge these risks and confirm their health and physical readiness. Salas Travel Peru is not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur.
7. Tour Leadership
The guide or company representative has the final say on matters of safety and group welfare. Compliance with their instructions and adherence to Peru’s drug laws is mandatory. Behavior that jeopardizes the safety of the group may result in expulsion from the tour without a refund.
8. Required Documentation
Valid passports are required, and it is recommended to carry the original or a copy during excursions.
9. Insurance for Travelers
We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for accidents, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, travel disruptions, and baggage loss.
10. Partnership with External Providers
Salas Travel Peru works with various third-party providers, such as airlines and hotels, to enhance the overall experience. These independent providers are beyond our control, and we are not accountable for any delays or inconveniences they may cause.
11. Claims and Complaints
If you encounter any service issues, please inform the guide immediately. Further complaints should be submitted in writing to the company within a week of completing the tour.
Disputes will be resolved exclusively in Cusco, Peru, under Peruvian Law. Claims against Salas Travel Peru are limited to the value of the disputed service, excluding any indirect losses or missed profit opportunities.
