    Day 1: Journey Through the Andes

    Cusco - Huaran - Cancha Cancha

    The first day of the Lares Trek to Machu Picchu begins with an early departure from Cusco, heading towards the picturesque village of Huaran. The scenic drive sets the stage for the adventure, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Andean landscapes. Upon arrival at Huaran, situated at 2,800 meters (9,186 feet), the trek commences along a peaceful stream, gradually ascending through lush green valleys and serene mountain paths.
