Cusco City Tour: Qorikancha, Sacsayhuamán & 3 Inca Sites

For 1 to 4 travelers the City Tour is a shared group service. From 5 travelers we run it only for your group, and the price per person goes down as the group grows.

Prices include pick-up, transport and a bilingual guide. Entrance fees are paid separately (see below). Groups of more than 16, or a private tour for fewer than 5 travelers: ask us for a quote.

• Qorikancha (about 40 min): the most important temple of the Inca Empire, with the Santo Domingo convent built on its walls.
• Sacsayhuamán (50 min–1 h): zigzag walls of stones weighing many tons and the best view over Cusco. It is also the stage of the Inti Raymi festival every 24 June.
• Q’enqo (about 20 min): a carved limestone outcrop with a ritual chamber and channels.
• Puka Pukara and Tambomachay (about 20 min each): a checkpoint on the road to the Antisuyu and the “Inca baths”, with water still running through Inca channels.

Entrance fees are paid at each site (or added when you book):

• Qorikancha: S/ 20 per adult.
• Partial Cusco Tourist Ticket (BTC) – Circuit I, covering Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay: S/ 70 for foreign visitors (valid 1 day) and S/ 40 for Peruvians (valid 1 day). It is sold in person only, at the sites or at the COSITUC office (Av. El Sol 103); bring soles in cash.

Shared tour

For 1 to 4 travelers this is a shared tour of up to 16 people of different nationalities and ages; groups in Cusco are often formed with travelers from several local agencies, and everyone follows the same itinerary with the same guide. From 5 travelers, we operate the tour only for your group (see the price table).

Pick-up and return times

• The day before the tour we send you a pick-up time window and an approximate return time.
• Please be ready on time: the vehicle collects other travelers on the same route.
• The tour ends around 1:30 p.m. (morning) or 6:30 p.m. (afternoon), near Plaza Regocijo or Calle Plateros. Traffic and the group’s pace can change the return time.

Transport

• Seats are assigned in order of pick-up.
• Pets, smoking and large luggage are not allowed on board.

Accessibility

• Minors must travel with an adult.
• The sites have uneven stone paths and steps, so the tour is not suitable for wheelchair users.

IGV (VAT)

Foreign tourists can be exempt from Peru’s 18% IGV. To apply the exemption we need a photo of your passport (or the document you used to enter Peru) and your date of entry; we will ask for them a few days before your arrival. Without them, the 18% IGV must be added.

Cancellations

• More than 30 days before: 20% penalty
• 7 to 30 days before: 40% penalty
• Less than 7 days before: 100% penalty

Date changes (subject to availability)

• More than 30 days before: 5% penalty
• 7 to 30 days before: 10% penalty
• Less than 7 days before: 100% penalty

There are no refunds for flight or train delays, bad weather or other causes outside our control.

Force majeure

Salas Travel always tries to follow the planned itinerary, but heavy rain, natural events, protests or road blockades can force changes. In those cases we will offer the best available alternative; refunds or compensation are not possible, and any extra cost from the alternative is paid by the traveler.
