The Cusco Tourist Ticket (Boleto Turístico del Cusco, BTC) is the single entry ticket for 16 archaeological sites, museums and cultural centres in and around Cusco: Sacsayhuamán, Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Moray, Chinchero, Tipón and more. It does not include Machu Picchu. For foreign visitors the full ticket costs S/ 130 and is valid for 10 days; a partial ticket for one circuit costs S/ 70. This guide explains which ticket you need, where to buy it and what is changing in 2026.

Sources: COSITUC, the official administrator of the ticket (price list, frequently asked questions and ticket pages); the Ministry of Culture’s Cusco office (DDC Cusco) for opening hours; Law 32586 and Ministerial Resolution 350-2026-MC (El Peruano). Checked on 13 October 2026.

Quick answer

A note on validity: COSITUC’s own pages do not fully agree. Its new price list gives 5 days for the foreign Circuit I ticket and 1 day for the Peruvian Circuit II and III tickets, while its home page and ticket pages give 1 day and 2 days. We show 1 day for Circuit I so you are not caught out. Ask at the counter when you buy.

What the ticket includes: the 16 sites

Circuit I: Sacsayhuamán

  • Sacsayhuamán
  • Q’enqo
  • Puka Pukara
  • Tambomachay

All four are on the road just above Cusco and are visited on our Cusco City Tour. Read our Sacsayhuamán guide.

  • Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo (folk dance show)
  • Monumento a Pachacútec
  • Museo Histórico Regional
  • Museo de Arte Contemporáneo
  • Museo de Arte Popular
  • Museo de Sitio Qorikancha (the site museum, not the temple)

Full or partial ticket: which one pays off?

Cusco Tourist Ticket for foreign visitors: one partial circuit S/ 70, two partial circuits S/ 140, three partial circuits S/ 210, full ticket S/ 130Full ticket S/ 130One circuit (partial)S/ 70Two circuits (2 partials)S/ 140All three circuits (3 partials)S/ 210Full ticket: 16 sites, 10 daysS/ 130From two circuits on, the full ticket is cheaper.
Prices for foreign adults in Peruvian soles. Source: COSITUC price list, checked on 13 October 2026. Students and Peruvians pay less (see the table).
  • Only Sacsayhuamán and the sites above Cusco: the Circuit I partial (S/ 70).
  • A Sacred Valley day trip only: the Circuit III partial (S/ 70).
  • City tour plus Sacred Valley, the most common combination: two partials cost S/ 140, so the full ticket (S/ 130) is cheaper and adds the museums, Tipón and Pikillaqta.
  • Students: the full student ticket (S/ 70) costs the same as a single partial, so it is almost always the better choice.

COSITUC says you need at least three days to visit all 16 sites.

Opening hours of the main sites

Site Hours
Sacsayhuamán 07:00–17:30
Pisac 07:00–16:30
Ollantaytambo 07:00–16:30
Moray 07:00–17:00
Chinchero 07:00–18:00
Tipón 07:00–16:30
Pikillaqta 07:00–16:30

Hours from the DDC Cusco site pages. Many websites say 7:00 to 18:00 for every site, which does not match the official hours.

Where and how to buy it

  • COSITUC counter: Avenida El Sol 103 (Galerías Turísticas), in central Cusco, open every day from 07:30 to 18:00, according to COSITUC.
  • At the sites: it is sold at the entrance of every included site except four museums: the Museo Histórico Regional, the Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo, the Museo de Arte Popular and the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo.
  • Online: it is not sold online. Websites that sell it with hotel delivery are resellers, not the official sale.
  • In advance: not needed. The validity starts on the day you buy it.
  • Payment: COSITUC does not publish which payment methods it accepts, so carry soles in cash just in case.
  • Single-site tickets: for now only the Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo and the Monumento a Pachacútec sell their own entry; for any other single site you buy the partial ticket for its circuit.

COSITUC has warned about fake tickets: buy only at the counter or at the sites.

What the Tourist Ticket does not include

  • Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail: excluded by law. See our Machu Picchu tickets guide.
  • The Qorikancha temple (Santo Domingo church and convent): it has its own ticket. The Tourist Ticket only covers the Qorikancha site museum next door.
  • Cusco Cathedral: separate ticket.
  • The Maras salt mines: separate fee, run by the local community.
  • Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca): separate entrance of S/ 30 for foreign visitors and S/ 15 for Peruvians (MINCETUR).
  • Humantay Lake, Choquequirao and Raqchi: each has its own entrance.
  • Guide and transport: the ticket only gives entry.

What is changing in 2026

Law 32586, published in El Peruano on 8 May 2026, replaces the previous Tourist Ticket law. It keeps COSITUC as the administrator and allows two new things: tickets for a single site and a digital ticket, with the paper ticket kept where a digital one is not possible.

The law needs a regulation to take effect. The Ministry of Culture published the draft (Ministerial Resolution 350-2026-MC) on 1 October 2026 for public comment. Under that draft, the current paper tickets, prices, circuits and sale points stay in place until the digital platform is ready. As of 13 October 2026 the regulation has not been approved, so nothing changes yet for travelers. We will update this guide when it is.

Our tours and the Tourist Ticket

Our city and valley tours do not include the Tourist Ticket in the price, so you can choose the partial or full ticket that suits your plans. You need it for the Cusco City Tour (Circuit I, plus a separate Qorikancha ticket), the Sacred Valley tours (Circuit III) and the South Valley tour (Circuit II). If you are doing two of them, buy the full ticket.
